Doing our bit.

Little by little, the actions we all take make a difference for the long term health – of ourselves and the environment. Maybe it’s choosing to bike to work some days, eating vegan once a week, or shifting our weight from one foot to the other in tiny increments. What about building a brand that makes a small difference to our planet every time we sell a product? We are proud of the sustainable, natural and beautiful materials that our bold38 Balance board is made of. On top of that, we feel a little more balanced, knowing that a tree gets planted every time someone buys a balance board – thanks to our collaboration with #onetreeplanted.

Eco-friendly

Natural materials

The bold38 balance board is fashioned from Baltic birch with a grippy cork finish. The sturdy roller is also made of cork, for optimal traction. The boards’ accessories are made from a bio-based composite, called Vibers. It is a lightweight, eco-friendly, Dutch design. Every detail has been thought through, from the width and weight of the board, its smooth edges, right down to the unique adjustable stopper feature.

One Tree Planted

We are proud to partner with One Tree Planted. For every board purchased, a tree gets planted.

The purifying quality of trees and the way they create habitats for biodiversity are ways that benefit the health and wellbeing for people and the planet. Bold38 supports reforestation through One Tree Planted, integrating it into our business model.

Vibers

Our balance board stoppers are made from Vibers, a bio-based compound; a combination of Green PE (sugarcane ethanol, a 100% renewable resource), mixed with Elephant grass (Miscanthus Giganteus) grown in the Netherlands. Elephant grass can absorb more than 4 times more greenhouse gases per hectare (so that’s up to 44 tons of CO2 equivalents per hectare!) than a whole entire forest can. By choosing Vibers we are helping capture carbon dioxide and lower our carbon footprint.
